Ningún curso, por muy bueno que sea, te puede garantizar el éxito. Tambien cuenta el esfuerzo personal y tu nivel de inglés. Si tu nivel de inglés no pasa de internedio-alto, conviene mejorarlo antes de empezar con el GMAT. Lee mucho: The Economist, Financial Times, National Geographic, Time, Newsweek... Si eres de Letras, hay que repasar las matematicas que actualmente se dan en la ESO.

Getting a high score in the GMAT is not easy. You need to work hard and, what is even more important, know HOW to work in order not to waste your time. It is even harder if you have to combine study with a full-time job, as was my case. However, Kevin in his lessons teaches you the right methodology to prepare properly and efficiently for the test: he offers you a wide variety of material and explains how to focus in really important things (the things that you will actually be asked for ). In the classes you will learn useful clues that will be essential on the test day, and individual lessons are essential to focus in the areas where you feel less confident. "Para preparar el GMAT creo que lo más importante es practicar con las preguntas de test reales y de nivel de dificultad alto para hacerse con la tipología de preguntas y para coger agilidad en resolverlas (sobretodo la parte cuantitativa en la que el tiempo es muy justo). Las clases de Kevin son muy útiles para: - aprender una metodología apropiada para cada uno para afrontar cada parte del GMAT con lo que se gana mucho tiempo y se minimizan errores - conocer las distintas tipologías de preguntas dentro de cada parte para detectar los problemas típicos - tener acceso a multiples preguntas tipo test - lo más importante para mi: obtener valiosos consejos de alguien que ya ha hecho el test y que conoce muy bien los fallos típicos que hacemos los españoles (ej. vocabulario, manera en la que nos han enseñado a resolver algunos problemas matemáticos, etc.) En resumen, recomiendo apuntarse a las clases de Kevin si aspiráis a sacar una nota que os permita aplicar con seguridad a los MBA.

Sin los consejos y sugerencias que nos has presentado a lo largo del curso, sacar una nota así hubiera sido realmente complicado. Cuando uno se enfrenta a pruebas o exámenes de este estilo es fundamental conocer todos aquellos trucos que puedan ser útiles para mejorar los resultados. En este sentido, con el gmat, las ideas que fuiste transmitiendo clase a clase han sido fundamentales a la hora de resolver las cuestiones tanto cuantitativas como verbales.
El beneficio en mi caso ha sido claro. Las clases me han valido para conocer y profundizar en el tipo de preguntas a las que me iba a enfrentar el día del examen. Las técnicas que he aprendido para la resolución de las mismas han sido de gran utilidad y me han permitido aumentar al máximo el número de respuestas acertadas. Así mismo, indirectamente, gracias a la aplicación de estas técnicas conseguí reducir considerablemente el tiempo dedicado a cada pregunta, pudiendo dedicar así el día del examen más recursos en aquellas cuestiones que me resultaron más complejas.
...Me preparé con Kevin. Primero, con el curso de 10 semanas y después con unas pocas clases particulares en las que reforcé aquellas partes en las que más fallaba. Kevin es, a mi juicio, un profesor excelente. Explica las cosas con claridad y desde distintos puntos de vista. Enseguida se adapta a ti, detecta tus puntos débiles y te ayuda a mejorarlos. La primera (y única) vez que me presenté saque un 730 (48Q 42V). Esta puntuación me dio mucha confianza para seguir adelante en el duro camino que acababa de comenzar hacia el MBA...
...Kevin me ayudó enormemente a prepararme el GMAT. Creo que sin sus clases, consejos, metodología y empuje me hubiese sido mucho más difícil lograr el 680 que obtuve a la segunda vez que me presenté al examen (saqué un 640 en mi primer intento). Esta nota me permitió preparar los essays y applications con mucha más confianza y poder lograr así la admisión en 3 de las 4 escuelas a las que envié mi solicitud: Chicago GSB, London Business School y Kellogg School of Management...
..Antes de dar clases con Kevin, ya había preparado el GMAT por mi cuenta y saqué un 670, una buena puntuación pero insuficiente para ser aceptado en Harvard o en Columbia. Di 10 horas de clase con Kevin, lo que me ayudó a enfocar mejor las preguntas de la parte verbal. Conseguí subir mi puntuación a 730 después de casi agotar la fuente de preguntas que Kevin posee. ..I took the GMAT on 6th of MAY 2008 and scored 700 (Q50 V34). The result is satisfying for me. During my preperation period I took courses from Kevin Armstrong . ...You won't find anyone better than Kevin. He loves to teach GMAT and he is a great teacher. He is in loved with GMAT. After some GMAT classes in another academy in Madrid and some personal classes with Scott and Dylan, I am totally convinced that Kevin is the best you can find.My GMAT score was 710 only after a few weeks of classes. I just needed someone who could push me a little. I only applied to the London Business School in the fourth round and I was admitted. Déjame darte un consejo de una persona que sacó un 720 habiendo estudiado una carrera de letras: "No te dejes llevar por el nombre de la institución sino por la calidad del profesor"
Cuando decidí hacer el GMAT me debatía entre prepararme por mi cuenta (wrong! Es muy duro. Tienes que tener mucha autodisciplina y además el examen es muy "tricky" y te estás enfrentando a estudiantes a nivel mundial que se lo llevan preparando durante meses. No hay que olvidar que este examen no deja de ser por campana de gauss) o irme a una de las grandes empresas que preparan para estos exámenes.
Me hablaron de Kevin, de que era un gran profesor y que se acababa de poner por su cuenta, así que opté por él. Creo que fue la decisión más acertada. ¡Estoy segura que más del 50% de mi nota se la debo a él!
Así que mucho ánimo y dedicación a todos los que estéis a punto de poneros a estudiarlo o los que ya estáis en ello. Si yo lo he sacado, ¿por qué no lo vas a sacar tú?
